Depending on your requirements and budget, there are three types of proof-reading services to choose from:

Basic:
If you choose our most basic and cost effective service, the proof-reader will quickly scan through the document to make sure that it is understandable and doesn't contain any mistakes. It could still look as if it’s been written by non-native speaker, but it will be grammatically and semantically correct.

The price for this service is £0.014 per word, which works out at approximately £8-12 per page, depending on the size and type of font you use as well as line spacing. Your work will receive at least three readings, first checking for content, then proof-reading. Please note: the time may vary if the document is very long.

Copy editing:
Copy editing includes all of the above, plus we will read your document carefully, checking for clarity, brevity, context, consistency of style, and word/phrase usage. We will make corrections and/or offer suggestions to improve your text as needed. Your work will receive at least three readings, first checking for content, then proof-reading.

The price for this service is £0.028 per word, which works out at approximately £15-25 per page, depending on the size and type of font you use as well as line spacing.

Creative writing:
This level of service goes beyond proof-reading and is classed as creative writing. Our experienced staff will try to express your ideas and thoughts in a more comprehensible way. For example, it might mean completely re-writing the document, leaving just the key facts. The final document will be of a quality far higher than you can expect even from the average native English speaker. Writing services include proof-reading and copy editing of the final product. Contact us with the details of the project and we will provide a specific rate or flat price for that job. All of the services in our basic and copy editing options are also included in the price.

The price for this service is £0.065 pence per word, which works out at approximately £40-60 per page, depending on the size and type of font you use as well as line spacing.

Speed of the service
We also offer two speed levels of proof-reading: Normal and Express. Please note: the time may vary if the document is very long

The Normal proof-reading service takes 5 working days to be returned to you. The costs for this service are listed above.

The Express proof-reading service takes 2 working days to be returned to you.

Urgent proof-reading.
Please state on your order form if you require your documents to be returned in less time than the Express service. We promise to do our best to accommodate your requirements, however at times this may not be possible.

Project based pricing (i.e. website or other bespoke requirements)
Due to the more complex and involved nature of web-site proof-reading and editing, we will need to cost these projects individually.
To help us do this, please:

• Specify the date the website proof-reading needs to be completed (please note that the cost of the project will depend on how urgently you require the proof-reading).
• Provide the URL for the site, or if the site is still in its development stages, send us the text content, tables, (with column headings and labels), etc in a usable format.
  • It would also help our team of editors if you provide us with information about the site, its purpose, target audiences, etc so we can make sure the most appropriate language is used and correct meaning is conveyed.
  • Please provide us with the approximate number of HTML pages you expect/would like for the web-site.
  • Please provide the budget allocated for proof-reading.

Websites tend to use fewer words than hard copy documents, letters and essays to convey their meaning. These words, however, make a greater impact upon the reader, therefore it is essential that the tone is correct. Refund Policy

We offer an 100% guarantee that our work will be carried out to the highest possible standard. We try to make sure that we do not miss any errors and go to great lengths to ensure that your document is perfect.

If you find any errors in our work, we will gladly refund your payment.

Please note:

You must notify us of the error within 30 days after receiving your completed document. For a refund to be granted, the error must be a clear violation of a Standard English rule, and not merely a difference of opinion regarding style or usage. If your editing project consisted of multiple documents or pages, the refund will include only the document or page in which the error was found.
